Able Tool Rental & Equipment Sales was founded in 1983 at its current location. Edward Grennan Sr. started the business on a gravel lot with a trailer as an office. Primary business was selling trailers, farm equipment and tractors. The company ran this way for some time with father and son (Bud Grennan) as the only employees. Over time, the business grew and market demands changed - equipment sales were no longer in demand and the tool rental industry took priority over the business.

Edward Grennan Sr. and Jr. worked together until 1991 when Edward Grennan Sr. became ill from cancer and passed away; leaving the business to his son. Husband and wife team (Bud & Phyllis Grennan) then managed the business as primarily a tool rental outlet for the homeowner and contractor. This changed in 1997 when Able Tool Rental entered the party rental industry and created The Main Event Party Rental.

At this time, Able Tool Rental and The Main Event Party Rental remains a family owned and operated business with husband and wife (Bud and Phyllis) and son and daughter (Jason and Christy) running the business along with a team of dedicated employees.
